ON-SITE Project Engineer (EE/ECE) – Telecom

Salary: ₱15,000 – ₱20,000 per month

About the Role

The Project Field Engineer is responsible for the on-site installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of power and security systems across ECOM’s telecommunications and infrastructure projects. This includes battery banks, power core/DC power plants, rectifier systems, solar energy systems, and CCTV/security installations. The role ensures all deployments meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Configuration

• Install, terminate, and configure battery banks (VRLA/lithium) including stringing, torqueing, and load testing
• Set up and configure rectifier systems and DC power plants (power core), including breaker sizing, distribution, and alarm provisioning
• Install and commission solar energy systems — panels, mounting structures, inverters, charge controllers, and combiner boxes
• Deploy and configure CCTV and security systems — cameras, NVR/DVR units, cabling, and network integration
• Perform grounding/earthing, cable dressing, and labeling in accordance with standards

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct power-on testing, voltage/current verification, and battery capacity/discharge testing
• Configure rectifier parameters (float/boost voltage, current limits) and verify charging behavior
• Commission solar systems and validate generation output against design
• Test CCTV coverage, recording, remote access, and network connectivity
• Troubleshoot faults and resolve on-site technical issues

Documentation & Coordination

• Prepare site reports, as-built documentation, test records, and commissioning checklists
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Ensure compliance with client technical specifications and telecom standards
• Enforce safety protocols and proper use of PPE on site

Process & Tools

• Initial submissions via WhatsApp (photos and site updates) / ClickUp / AppSheet
• Final storage and organization in Google Suite / Microsoft Suite
• Ongoing integration with ClickUp for project tracking and monitoring

Additional Responsibilities

• Identify inefficiencies in current workflows
• Recommend and implement automation solutions (AI/tools)
• Support internal process improvements to reduce manual work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering / Networking or a related field (NON-BOARD PASSERS ARE WELCOME)
• Hands-on experience with telecom power systems — batteries, rectifiers/DC power plants, and power core installations
• Working knowledge of solar PV system installation and configuration is a plus
• Experience installing and configuring CCTV/security systems is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and installation drawings
• Willingness to travel and work at remote field sites across Visayas and Mindanao

Preferred

• RME/REE license or Electronics Engineer (ECE/ECT) certification
• Familiarity with telecom site standards and BTS/tower power requirements
• Knowledge of grounding systems, surge protection, and power distribution
• Basic networking skills (IP configuration for CCTV/NVR systems)
• Valid driver’s license
• Experienced with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of automation tools or AI is an advantage
• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience required
